The Explorer

'The Explorer' is a simple 2d Platformer game that requires the player to navigate the terrain and avoid danger to reach a safe destination.

The danger is static, hidden in the environment, and dynamic, a constantly moving rainfall that will progress faster as the player nears their target.

  • The game was my first time writing code or working with the Unity Game engine.

  • I focused on designing a fun, challenging and straightforward level around the core mechanic of being able to phase through certain types of floor terrain.

  • It was a short 6-week project and a great way to start my journey into game dev.
